The Burgess Classic Blenheim has been one of the manufacturer's most popular mattresses for many years, and it's easy to see why. Handmade in Lancashire, the Classic Blenheim combines 1,440 UK-produced pocket springs with firm edge technology to provide excellent support right across the sleeping surface. Layers of bonded cotton, hypoallergenic recycled and recyclable white fibres and luxurious English lambswool create a beautifully comfortable mattress that's naturally breathable and designed to provide year-round comfort.

Like every Burgess mattress, it's the traditional craftsmanship that really stands out. The Heritage Ivory ticking has a wonderfully soft feel, while genuine hand side stitching, hand tufting with rosebud tufts, reinforced flag-stitched handles and classic grey piping all reflect the care and attention that goes into every mattress.

1,440 UK-produced pocket springs
The Classic contains 1,440 individually pocketed springs, produced in the UK. The pocket springs respond independently to movement across the sleeping surface.

Choice of tension
Available in soft, medium, firm and orthopaedic tensions, so there's a choice of feel depending on your preference.

Wool and cotton fillings
The mattress is filled with a combination of wool, cotton, hessian and soft white fibres, giving it a traditional natural-fibre construction with cushioning and comfort.

Belgian damask cover
Finished with a 100% viscose Belgian damask cover, chosen for its soft feel and traditional appearance.

Chemical-free flame retardancy
The damask cover uses a chemical-free approach to flame retardancy.

Hand side-stitched borders
The mattress features two rows of genuine hand side stitching, a traditional finishing technique that strengthens the mattress borders and gives it a neat, supportive edge.

Hand tufted with rosebud tufts
The mattress is traditionally hand tufted with rosebud tufts, helping to secure the fillings within the mattress and maintain its shape.

Reinforced flag-stitched handles
Strong flag-stitched handles are fitted to the sides of the mattress to assist with turning and handling.

Classic pale blue piping
Finished with distinctive pale blue piping around the border, giving the Classic its traditional Burgess appearance.
