Divan Bed Ottoman Storage Solutions in Lancaster and Morecambe

If you're looking for extra storage space then the divan ottoman could be the way forward. The ottoman option has become increasingly popular in both our Morecambe and Lancaster stores over the last few years.

When we opened our Morecambe store in 2010 it was fairly rare that customers would ask about an ottoman or 'lift up' storage bed with many opting for drawers or in a lot of cases no storage at all. Although ottomans were needed more with customers who lived in park homes where there was a lot less storage.

These days though there's usually a few ottomans on order through our Morecambe and Lancaster stores every week. Whether people need more storage nowadays or people have more bedding/clothes to put away - who knows?

Undoubtably though the divan ottoman is a good idea if you need a tidy storage solution. The divan ottoman has the advantage of having a foot print basically the same size as your mattress unlike the bed frame ottomans which take up additional floor space with side panels and footboards.

Other advantages of the divan ottoman include arguably a better surface for the mattress to go on as opposed to the sprung slats used with the bed frame versions. Also, the platform top of the divan ottoman has a four gas strut lifting mechanism unlike the less powerful two strut often seen with the bed frame ottomans.

The divan ottomans in our showrooms are made by reputable, long established, UK based bed and mattress manufacturers such as Sleepeezee, Romantica, Relyon and Wheatcroft. They're also available in a wide choice of contemporary fabrics and colours to suite the style that you're aiming for. With this in mind we also, offer a choice of modern headboards to compliment the divan base.

We've put together some very well priced ottoman complete set deals, the most popular of which is available at £999 for a double set which includes an end or side lift divan ottoman base and design headboard with a pocket sprung mattress with either memory foam or natural fillings. The deal of course includes free delivery throughout Lancaster and Morecambe and free removal of your old bed.
